Pierre has 25 years of experience advising entrepreneurs, with a management background in corporate finance, private banking and wealth management. He has worked on numerous sell side and buy side deals, IPOs, mergers, integrations, and consulting projects in both small businesses and large global corporates. He is an experienced, established, savvy and trusted adviser.
Pierre started his career in Australia. He moved back to France where he worked for a French billionaire François Pinault on M&A deals within the Artemis group. He created his M&A Small Cap firm (BC&D) in Paris and delivered corporate advisory services in Europe, from origination to execution. He had also advised entrepreneurs on their personal wealth management when finalising transition events on their business.
In Paris, Pierre worked in Private Banking for a Belgium Family Office (Degroof) and for JP Morgan as a senior private banker and head of the UHNW segment for France.
Pierre returned to Australia in 2016. In Sydney, he created and developed the ANZ subsidiary of Equiteq. He executed 9 M&A transactions advising clients in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth before launching SCD Advisory in January 2019 and closing 20 transactions since.
In January 2020, Pierre completed the “Leading Professional Services Firms” program at the Harvard Business School.
Pierre is French, Australian citizen, Overseas Citizen of India. He is married and has two children. He is passionate about international travel, gastronomy, sailing and golf.
Marc joined SCD Advisory in 2024, bringing 6 years of experience in accounting and corporate finance. Most recently, he worked in Transaction Services and M&A at KPMG, gaining experience across various sectors including technology, communications, financial services and retail. Marc has a track record working with both publicly listed and mid-market private companies, assisting clients with strategic acquisitions, divestments, and broader financial advisory.
Marc is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology Sydney.
Naomi joined SCD Advisory in May 2024, bringing over 6 years of investment banking expertise with cross-border transaction experience across Europe and the US. Prior to joining SCD Advisory, Naomi worked at London boutique firms Acuity Advisors and Waypoint Partners, specialising M&A advisory in the technology and media sectors.
Naomi holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance and Accounting form Imperial College Business School and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bath.
Prior to joining SCD Advisory, Vincent completed an internship in insolvency and restructuring at CasCap Advisory. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales.
Evelyn has more than 15 years experience in Global Professional Services Companies. In Sydney, Schroders Australia (Advisory Team in the Investment Banking Division and Property Management Division) and Deloitte (Creative Team in the Marketing and Communications Business Development division). In Paris, A.T. Kearney (Management consultants).
Bilingual in French (lived and worked in Paris for 17 years) and English (Mother-tongue), Australian born in India, studied, lived and worked in Sydney and Paris.
Prior to joining he worked in Deals Advisory teams at PwC, specialising in the provision of financial and strategic advice to a range of clients. During these three years in Transaction Services roles, he has gained experience across the M&A lifecycle in various private equity and cross-border transactions. His passion lies in helping clients unlock value, closing transactions at speed and cutting through complexity. He also has experiences at Westpac, BDO and RSM.
Deren holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and International Business) and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from the University of Sydney. He also undertook exchange programs in the US (Harvard University) and in the UK (London School of Economics).
With over 25 years of experience, including 10 years in KPMG's Deal Advisory team and building and selling his own company to an ASX200 listed group, Simon Longes has a unique range of experience across due diligence, M&A transactions and business operations. As a Director in the KPMG Deal Advisory team, Simon advised clients in M&A transactions, from managing the process, leading detailed due diligence and coordinating sale & purchase documentation till closing. As a founder, owner and CFO for Clearskincare Clinics, Simon was a critical leader driving the growth of the business and managing the successful sale process of the group.
Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Sydney University and is a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ).
Doug Robinson is a seasoned executive assisting businesses in accelerating to exception growth. He has over 30 years of business experience and most recently was the Managing Partner for IBM Consulting Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN and Korea. In this role he was responsible for all parts of the business including Marketing, Sales, Delivery, Finance, HR, Legal, Contracting, Applied Research, Garage and industry solution development. His experience also spans many industries including Travel, Technology, Retail, Consumer Products, Mining, Oil and Gas, Electronics, and Automotive.
Doug was involved in a M&A process with SCD Advisory as a buyer of SXiQ to IBM when he was Managing Partner of IBM Australia.
Grant Hartland was a former private banking COO, co-founder of Hypothesis, a digital transformation firm sold to McKinsey, a global leader in consulting. Grant has developed a comprehensive, systemic approach to delivering operating model transformation with a whole-of-business perspective that best aligns with the strategic intent. He brings together functional experience across business architecture, product, technology, operations and program/project management to see things at a system level, identifying the dependencies opportunities and risks – people, structure, process, tech - that are crucial to strategy execution.
Grant in an ex-client of SCD Advisory when he sold Hypothesis to McKinsey, after a long relationship with SCD concluded by a sale process.
Tony Nimac has 32 years of experience as a KPMG Partner and Board member, a leader and grower of KPMG's mid-market business and having worked with some leading Australian growth companies/entrepreneurs to assist fast-growth companies to scale with purpose. Tony brings his financial and governance knowledge as an Audit Partner as well as his commercial knowledge as a Deals Partner to help companies, their founders and Boards handle growth, accounting and regulatory pains and provide context on how to deal with capital needs, IPO and sale.
