The deal also provided liquidity for Cubane’s sole shareholder while finding a synergetic buyer, which was important to Cubane.
Cubane’s niche capability in the university sector and its subscription-based operating model positioned it as an attractive target for a broad range of buyers. SCD ran a comprehensive sale process, engaging with 61 key strategic and financial buyers. Despite the challenges of COVID, SCD maintained momentum with a stop-start approach, keeping key buyers engaged during a turbulent time for the Higher Education market.
